FORD RANGER OVERVIEW

The Ford Motor Company is recognised the world over and well known for producing cars and commercial vehicles since 1903. It all started with Henry Ford who was responsible for many of today's modern manufacturing methods. The Ford Ranger name originated in 1958 but it wasn't until 1983 when the Ford Ranger was assigned to a model range when Ford introduced its own compact pickup truck, replacing the 1972-1982 Ford Courier (a rebadged Mazda B1800) in North America. Ford then started using the Ranger nameplate in 1998 in place of Courier, for global markets with all compact trucks named Ranger by 2006.

The current Australian developed T6 generation of the Ford Ranger are midsize pickup trucks and sold worldwide. Having won the What Van? Pick Up Award from 2013 through to 2015, the well designed and robust Ford Ranger has proved popular as the ideal pick-up for farmers, builders or landscape gardeners who can utilise the many options available within the Ranger pick up range.

With powerful yet economical diesel engines, the Ford Ranger features a powerful engine matched with a range of safety features and advanced technical features.
